Go home Mickey Mouse..your home not ours!

So in the past 5 days we have found and or killed roughly 8 mice in our home! This has to be one of the most disgusting things ever! I hate mice and I especially hate them creepin around the place I live.

It might seem like we must keep our house pretty dirty to have that many mice hanging out but no it is actually exceptionally clean (well as much as it can be for the type of house it is). Our house is pretty much an antique and does not have any type of real foundation under it so its pretty much our floor then a big space of air then the dirt. This allows all kinds of pesky pests to collect free rent via the Womack house!

The abundance of mice is just one of the many plagues we have dealt with in the past year. Just another reason of why I look forward to the day when we live in civilization again! Woo hoo

To name a few others in the past two weeks we have had a couple of raccoons run across our back porch at about 3 am (FYI our back porch is attached to our bedroom with a door that leads out so it makes it prime listening as they scamper back and forth)

The second would be a skunk that made a passing through the backyard the other night while letting some of its aroma out only to seem through our walls and into our bedroom. Some how the dogs were able to remain asleep during this incident.

So that's just a glimpse of the fun we have in the Womack home. I'm sure in a few years when we look back it will be quite humorous.

P.S. Favorite song right now is def. Dog days are over by Florence + The Machine
Makes me want to wear a flowy dress and interpretive dance kind of like the video but not as creepy!

Epic Fail

So I told myself I was going to start writing a blog everyday when I turned 26...EPIC FAIL! It's 10 days later and this is my first entry whoops! Well at least this ones a long one so that should make up for something.

This past weekend I celebrated my bday by Karissa and Mindy coming in town. It was so much fun and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. The only down side was Landon also happened to be sick all weekend and missed out on everything.

Here are some highlights from the weekend:

Saturday we went to St. Benedicts Fall Festival.

The first thing we did was get our faces painted.

Karissa's girl has clearly never seen a cat and my girl was a diva but oh well it was free.

Meow!!!
No festival is
complete without
creepy characters...

Blind Dora and Indian
spongebob!

Bingo is oddly addicting and really gets the adrenaline going...I almost one twice.

We each decided one thing that we had to do at the fair...

Karissa and I chose the sling shot race thing...

Moment of Whiplash..

Mindy's choice: Cake Ball

Thank you little bus driver for convincing us that we could all fit on the Jefferson lines!

Kitty cat, Dora and Bingo heading home from one heck of a catholic fall festival!

separated at birth??

Dinner at the wedge. Mindy you precious little Lamb! Hope you find Him soon, just be still and know.

Finally after 2 years first cuppie's and Joe experience. To bad Landon had the bubonic plague and missed it!
Cuppie's and Joe Exorcism!

Hopefully this will be my last birthday in Oklahoma but at least good ole Shawnee America went out with a bang!!

So it's been a while since I have been on this thing. I started it with the intentions of keeping up with people back home and I was the one who ended up dragging my feet. Well with my birthday coming up I figured why not start 26 out on a good note.

Crazy to say 26 but I think it sounds prettier than 25. Or as Landon likes to remind me the downward slope to 50. That's ok though cause everyone still thinks I'm 16..so no worries.

My goal this next year is to make this year different. Last year was a HARD year! Grant it some really awesome and wonderful things happened but overall last year was one of the hardest years of my life. Not many people know the details of what I went through but the people closest to me do and that's all that matters.

However, with that year almost behind me I want to make this year different and better. I want to get back to who I use to be and continue growing in my faith and in myself. I want to enjoy each and everyday again even the rough ones!

I may not be happy about where I am right now (aka Shawnee, America) but I still want to make the best of it and not waste another day or another experience. I may not know what I'm going to do job wise right now or even when we get back to Texas but I don't want to dwell on it anymore.

I wanted to try to make a goal for this new blog year or have a theme but I haven't come up with it yet. So if anyone still does this whole blog thing I welcome ideas. I do promise to keep up with it this time.

So this blog was a bit of a debbie downer so I'm going to end it with this video of Pug and our funny little family. See you in 11 days!!

Only in oklahoma!

So the other day I saw the most random and craziest thing ever!!
As I was driving home the other day I look out my window and two houses down from ours is a group of people talking and one of them is HOLDING A SKUNK!

Like literally they have a skunk for a pet!!

Here's a dramatization of what that moment was like... ha ha
On another note Landon finally got his iphone!! He was so happy it was like watching a little boy on Christmas day!! So cute!

Update from Shawnee America

So I've officially been in oklahoma for almost 2 months. Which I never thought I would say...ha ha

Here's whats been going on so far.

Bella has taken a strong liking to Landon. She loves her daddy and follows him around everywhere!!
A carnival came to town... we didn't attend. Something about rides that can be set up and taken down in a day that travel the world doesn't scream safe to me.

If you look closely you can see walmart in the background. The carnival was set-up in the parking lot. My family came to visit a couple weeks ago and we had so much fun!!

Landon bought Bella some booties. We all got a good laugh watching her walk around in them. (No worries no corgi's were hurt in the making of these photos.)

That's all for now...
